CHIPOTLE

Chipotle is a Mexican food chain restaurant. The franchise was founded by Steve Ells in 1993. Steve attended school at the culinary institute of America in Hyde Park. He then worked as a line cook in San Fransico and took what he learned and opened the first Chipotle restaurant in Denver, Colorado. He opened the store with an 85,000-dollar loan from his father. By the time Chipotle had 16 restaurants in Colorado, Mcdonalds became a big investor. Steve's plan was to use the funds from the first Chipotle restaurant to open a fine dining restaurant. He then saw how successful the business became and decided to expand the franchise further.
